“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet,” Juliet says in the Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet. With this line, Shakespeare leads one to believe that a name is unimportant in determining the content an object possesses. Yet, this doesn’t always prove to be accurate and a name can have meaning.
When one pictures the name Skinfully Smooth, it would not be difficult to conclude the name is referring to treatments to smooth the skin, which includes waxing, facials, laser hair removal and body treatments. While all of this is true, Skinfully Smooth, our establishment does so much more.
We understand that flawless looking skin is not only a result of good skincare, but also a reflection of a healthy lifestyle. In order to achieve this, treatments must include more than superficial interventions. Interventions, such as these, have long been a regular part of the skincare menu; however, our previous name failed to reflect the depth and broad range of services we offer.
For this reason, Skinfully Smooth has become Sanctuary Skincare + Wellness Spa. We continue to offer a wide variety of skincare options mentioned above, as well as chemical peels, lash lifting, massage, body steam and contouring. We will continue to provide LED treatments to stimulate collagen production, far infrared treatments to decrease inflammation, microneedling and skin tightening with radiofrequency, and microcurrent to strengthen and reshape facial muscles. We continue to expand our IV therapy programs to address a number of health issues, and we have broadened our treatment protocols using ultrasound, and radiofrequency to help one look, feel and function better.
Finally, we are taking this opportunity to add new products and services to our menu. Our new skincare line is organic, vegan and food grade (which means if someone should accidently ingest any of the products, a call to the poison control center or trip to the ER is not necessary). We have also taken this opportunity to add (PEMF) Pulsed Electromagnetic Field device to our menu. This device can increase microcirculation by up to 30%, improving oxygen delivery, food delivery, and waste removal from the cells. The results of this improved function are more energy and strength, better fitness and endurance, cardiac function, improved concentration and mental acuity, stress reduction, relaxation and sleep management — all backed by scientific, third-party research.
