Before and After

What Should I Expect?

BEFORE: You’ll need to clean your skin to remove any lotions or makeup to get the best results possible.

DURING: The first step is to address the entire affected area. These are typically the face, neck, chest, and torso. This will destroy the P. acnes bacteria, reduce your oil output, and prevent future breakouts. It will stimulate growth of collagen to even skin tone and reduce redness. The second step will address active acne lesions. Focusing the laser on each lesion will help clear the breakout, while also reducing inflammation and the risk of scarring. This will feel like a warming sensation. Treatments usually take between 10-30 minutes depending on the severity of the acne. It also depends on the size of the affected area.

AFTER: There are no side-effects, so you won’t have to worry about dryness, itchiness, or tender skin. There may be slight redness after your treatment, but that should disappear after a couple hours. You can return to your daily activities directly after – just be sure to wear sunscreen! Most patients see a reduction in their current breakout immediately following the treatment, however it may take as many as six sessions. It is important to implement an at-home skin regimen to maintain your results. You can always return to schedule a “touch-up” session if a future breakout occurs, as acne is a chronic condition.
